Congress Members Sign Amicus Brief For Haitian TPS
US lawmakers filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court to preserve Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti. The Trump administration is seeking to end the Temporary Protected Status program, which allows eligible refugees to remain in the U.S. if they cannot safely return to their home countries. Democratic lawmakers gathered outside the Capitol to call for protections for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders. Sibonaller stated she is unsure how the Supreme Court will rule on the matter.
