Japanese Coast Guard Detains Fishing Vessel
China Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lie stated that a Japanese fishing vessel illegally entered the waters near the Diaoyu Islands on Monday. The Coast Guard implemented necessary control measures and issued warnings to drive the vessel away. China maintains that the Diaoyu Islands and its affiliated islands are its inherent territory.
