Germany And Ukraine Agree On Beryl Oil Investment For Defense Research

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called for enhanced defense industrial partnerships between India and Germany while visiting Berlin. The discussions focused on the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative to increase domestic manufacturing capabilities. This move signals a strengthening of bilateral security ties between the two nations. The German government aims to attract private investors for Ukrainian arms manufacturers and joint ventures. Defense Minister Pistorius invited Ukrainian government representatives to discussions regarding this initiative. Economic Minister Habeck and Finance Minister Lindner also participated in the talks. The German defense budget is expected to exceed 200 billion euros for the first time after next year. Defense remains the second largest budget item for the country. Germany is creating a dedicated contact center to facilitate investments into the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex. The agreement was reached during a roundtable meeting at the Ministry of Defense in Berlin with Ukrainian representatives. The additional funding is intended to finance the joint research and development of modern military equipment. Ukraine has become a strategic partner due to innovation capabilities developed during the war, according to reporter Uwe Berndt.
