China Pledges Support For Myanmar Sovereignty

RTHK Radio 1 Hong Kong Naypyidaw 17d17d Impact 5
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Myanmar leadership to express Beijing's firm support for the nation's development. Wang emphasized China's commitment to helping Myanmar maintain national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. The discussions focused on achieving national peace, ethnic reconciliation, and social harmony within the country. Wang Yi stated that Beijing will firmly support Myanmar in safeguarding its sovereignty and security. Min Aung Hlaing was sworn in as civilian president earlier this month following his tenure as military junta leader. The meeting follows the military's seizure of power five years ago.
