US Lawmakers Request Investigation Into American Citizen's Death
Members of Congress have signed a letter requesting a federal investigation into the death of Camus Ayod. Ayod, an American citizen working remotely for a U.S. company, died last year in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. His family states he lost consciousness while attempting to extinguish fires during a neighborhood attack by Israeli settlers. The letter has been directed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Twenty-three members of the U.S. Congress have sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche requesting an independent investigation into the death of Ayod. The letter was signed by Representatives John Garamendi, Jared Huffman, Latifah Simon, Ro Khanna, and 19 others.
