No-Confidence Motion Presented In Romania
Parliamentary leadership is scheduled to meet within thirty minutes to establish the calendar for debating a motion of no confidence. The Social Democratic Party stated they no longer support the current government, claiming it does not represent the will of the Romanian people. The document may be read in the parliamentary plenary tomorrow, with the debate and vote potentially scheduled for next Tuesday. Parliamentary formations have announced strategies regarding a no-confidence motion against the government led by Ilie Bolojan. The PSD is the only party whose deputies and senators intend to vote. Liberal members announced they will leave the seating area during the vote. USR and UDM-R have decided to ensure a quorum for the session but will not cast votes. A motion of no-confidence was presented by PSD Senate leader Daniel Zamfir during a plenary session.
