Malaysian Minister Discusses Investigations

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that the sovereign cloud computing system aims to protect sensitive data, including military and intelligence secrets, rather than controlling all national data. Ibrahim noted that Malaysia remains open to global technology investments from companies like Google and Microsoft. The move is described as essential for ensuring national security and sovereignty. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced three major initiatives during the 2026 National Labor Day address in Bukit Jalil. The initiatives include the introduction of post-maternity leave for female workers, a progressive economic resilience package, and an acceleration program for affordability and employment. The Prime Minister also mentioned a RM710 million valuation and security asset transfers to be presented to the Cabinet within three weeks. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in Religious Affairs, Dr. Zulkifi Hassan, expressed full support for the mission regarding 10 Malaysian citizens allegedly kidnapped by the Zionist regime in international waters. The minister stated that the department is closely monitoring developments through the Nusantara Command Center SNCC. He also noted that the department will provide various forms of assistance, including moral support, to the families of the detainees. The Minister of National and Public Life, Datuk, is involved in detaining individuals for various offenses.
