Italy Boosts Export Support With 360 Million Euros
The Italian Parliament discussed new labor measures including the extension of employment bonuses for women and workers under 35 until the end of the year. Collective bargaining agreements signed by representative organizations must ensure salaries do not fall below established standards. This option is available to employees in companies with at least 15 staff members. Under the current rules, the cost of this early retirement is borne by the employers. The government also noted that while wages are adjusted to inflation based on the IPCA, they are only adjusted by 30% of the rate. Automatic retroactivity for salary increases on expired contracts has been removed from a recent draft decree. It also seeks to encourage the stabilization of fixed-term contracts.
