Premeditated Attacker Planned Washington DC Strike
U.S. Attorney for the District, Janine Pirro, stated that the defendant, Allen, intended to target administration officials. Allen faces charges for transporting a firearm across state lines and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. The defendant was reportedly carrying a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun and a.38 caliber handgun. Pirro said the prosecution is prioritizing targets from the highest-ranking officials down to the lowest. A former Department Counterterrorism Coordinator told WTOP that an attacker conducted a premeditated and well-thought-out attack in Washington, D.C. The individual reportedly acquired weapons, trained with them, and traveled by train to the city to avoid bag searches during transit.
