An affidavit states that Allen allegedly made a reservation at the Hilton Hotel in Washington for three nights starting April 24th. The suspect reportedly expressed a willingness to target anyone in the administration, not just the President. Cole Tomas Allen has been officially charged with attempting to assassinate US President Donald Trump. The incident involved a politically motivated shooting and arson at Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's residence. Shots were reportedly fired near the US President during a meeting with White House correspondents in Washington D.C. Discussions are underway regarding whether this will change the types of events the president attends. 31-year-old California resident Cole Thomas Allen, a teacher and video game developer, made his first court appearance in Washington.
