Cruise Ship 30 Crew Members To Move To Netherlands
A perimeter has been established in Granadilla, restricting access to the area. Three people have died in connection with the MV Hondius Hantavirus outbreak. The President of Canarias, Clavijo, opposed the ship's docking, citing the possibility of rodents escaping the vessel and causing a virus outbreak. This opposition occurred after previous tensions had calmed and coincided with an announcement that the ship would depart at 6 PM. The Hantavirus-affected ship has arrived in Tenerife. Spain accepted the vessel despite the situation. Daniel López Acuna reassured the public in Tenerife that there is an extremely low risk of Hantavirus transmission. The Dutch cruise ship MV Hondius, which experienced a deadly hantavirus outbreak, docked at the port of a holiday island this morning. The ship is reported to have more than 140 passengers.
