Planned Parenthood Endorses Becerra for Governor
Planned Parenthood affiliates of California have endorsed Javier Becerra, former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary, in the race for governor. The organization represents seven affiliates operating over a hundred health centers across the state. CEO Jody Hicks stated Becerra experienced a cross-federal role. The organization cited Becerra's record on reproductive rights, including his past work in Congress and as California Attorney General. They stated he has consistently fought to protect abortion access and expand care. Planned Parenthood plans to support Becerra through the November election.
