Indonesian Journalist Abdul Muiz Named National Hero
Abdul Muiz, a journalist from Yogyakarta, was recognized as Indonesia's first national hero. He was arrested by the Dutch in 1922 and exiled to Garut, West Java. In exile, he completed his novel 'Salah Asuhan,' which became a work. Abdul Muiz was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero on August 30, 1959.
