Vietnamese General Inspects Special Forces Readiness

In the early period of 2026, comprehensive efforts will be made in all aspects of military and defense work. The Party Committee of the Military Command has introduced new and creative programs to enhance the comprehensive combat readiness of the armed forces. The Uchangun Khuma forces have comprehensively and synchronously deployed rapid combat readiness measures, achieving initial results. Agencies and units have maintained strict command, duty, and combat readiness systems, ensuring they are not caught off guard by situations. They have also coordinated with relevant forces. General Phan Van Giang, Vietnam's Minister of National Defense, said the urgent need for the military to develop and implement sustainable air defense combat plans. He stated that the military must thoroughly grasp these requirements given the current context. The Minister noted that preparing more extensively during peacetime helps prevent war. He requested that all agencies and units clearly identify their specific roles in these defense preparations. The inspection focused on combat readiness for the April 30 and May 1 holidays. General Dao said that the commando forces must maintain strict readiness regimes and proactively manage territorial sovereignty. Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Chief of the People's Army of Vietnam, conducted an unannounced inspection of combat readiness at the 1st Commando Brigade of the Special Forces Command on April 30.
