Pro-European Conservative Magyar Becomes Hungarian Prime Minister
Hungary's newly elected parliament is convening today for its constituent session in Budapest. He announced the creation of an independent office tasked with uncovering abuses and recovering diverted funds. In his speech, he promised to serve Hungary instead of ruling. Mogyor also announced plans to hold former officials accountable for past grievances, stating that voters had given a mandate to open a new chapter in Hungary's history. New members of Parliament entered the plenary chamber to witness the ceremony, accompanied by a fanfare. He addressed a square filled with supporters waving Hungarian and EU flags. Mogor vowed to change the government and the system. The pro-European conservative addressed thousands of Hungarians who watched his inauguration on screens outside the Parliament in Budapest.
