Russia Fears Iran Collapse, Seeks Stability

Peace negotiations with the government have been ongoing for several months without resolution. The Russian leader said the intention to maintain strategic relations with Iran and wished good health to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The European Commission President stated it is too early to comment. Diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran are currently at an impasse, with a second round of negotiations not yet having occurred. This declaration from the head of state confirms the high political level of the relationship, indicating it extends beyond diplomacy to a genuine strategic partnership. This comes as Russia anticipates new strikes on Iranian territory by the US, with no illusions about the US stance towards the Islamic Republic. Analysts believe the US will not treat Iran as an equal as long as the current regime exists, regardless of the US administration. Russian envoy Abbas Araghchi is reportedly playing a role in conveying messages, a task previously handled by Ali Larijani before his assassination. Russia has proposed a plan for de-escalation that Iran is open to considering. However, ahead of a meeting in Islamabad, there is discussion about the possibility of renewed military escalation.
