Taiwan Receives 500 Million USD In Military Aid
Legislature Speaker Han Kuo-yu is scheduled to convene a meeting today. Legislature Speaker Yu-hsiang Chao convened a meeting, with legislator Wen-chun Chao of the Kuomintang party's Foreign and National Defense Committee present. Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu is expected to convene the fourth round of cross-party negotiations regarding a special military procurement statute on May 6. The 2027 appropriation bill includes 500 million USD in aid for Taiwan under an external military financing program.
