China Seeks To Implement US-China Consensus
China expressed hope that visitors would experience new developments and stated its willingness to work with the United States to implement consensus reached by the two heads of state. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on May 7th that China is willing to work with the US to implement the consensus of the two heads of state and hopes the US visit will allow them to experience China's new development, aiming for truly improved bilateral relations. Li Qiang stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Trump had a phone call in February, providing new strategic guidance for US-China relations.
