Turkish AK Party Denounces Military Memorandum
On the 19th anniversary of the April 27th memorandum, the AK Party issued messages denouncing the event as a dark stain on history, stating it has been thrown into the dustbin of history. AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala said the will of the people in his statements. The party stated that the response to the memorandum was left unanswered. The AK Party's General Secretary, Eyyup Kadir, stated that for the first time in political history, a memorandum has gone unanswered. The Democratic Party rejected the recognition of the President.
