Prime Minister Turan Emphasizes Exams For Evaluation
The national college entrance examination (Gaokao) is taking place today in Vietnam, creating pressure on students, families, and teachers. Prime Minister To Lam said that the Gaokao exam is intended for evaluating students' education levels, not for classifying them. Prime Minister To Lam has proposed a plan to expand Vietnam's entire education system. Prime Minister To Lam's plan for education system expansion includes building more schools, increasing class sizes, and training more teachers. The current policy for vocational education is reportedly not meeting standards, with only a few percent of targets achieved, sometimes zero in certain areas.
