Protesters Expelled From Madrid Assembly Amid Sit-In
Counselor Zarzalejo appeared before a plenary session, stating she lacked the competence to improve the situation of educators and blamed the left for misleading them. Following her intervention, educators Julia Mascot, Laura Westmar, and Sonia Almarcha shouted "dignidad" (dignity). The workers were subsequently expelled from the assembly. Protesters were expelled yesterday from the guest tribune of the Madrid Assembly after protesting during the appearance of Education Minister Mercedes Zarzuela. The expulsion occurred amid an ongoing sit-in at a center in Ribas, where protesters denounce the Community of Madrid's inaction. Minister Zarzuela stated the regional government lacks the competence to improve their situation. Rosa Marín, a platform spokesperson, responded, calling it difficult to listen to lies and refuting claims about direct management earnings of 2,000 or 2,500 euros.
