Colombian Universities Offer Technical Studies to High Schoolers
A total of 400 students in grades 10 and 8 from El Banco and Plato municipalities will be able to pursue technical studies while still in high school. This initiative aims to enhance academic preparation and expand job and higher education opportunities for young people in these subregions. Eleven universities in the department of Risaralda have begun offering technical studies to high school students. Students can now pursue technical degrees at the university campuses in El Banco and Plato while still completing their high school education. The program will provide training in technical fields and reinforce skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
