Singapore Neighborhood Renewal Program Integrates Participatory Budgeting
An Institute of Policy Studies research project in Singapore will allow residents to vote on proposals based on budget constraints. This exercise aims to help residents understand trade-offs and hear from others. A participatory budgeting trial was previously held in the East Borderswood Park estate. Spockishwood was chosen as a pilot area for this initiative. Local advisors and residents are involved in the process.
