Russian Classics Marked With New Labeling
A new Russian law mandates special markings for content deemed harmful or psychotropic, regardless of context. However, large online retailers and e-book services have begun applying these warnings to content not formally covered by the law. For example, a collection of Pushkin's poems from 1814-1836 received a warning about drug harm, and works by Gogol and Turgenev also received warnings for mentioning prohibited substances.
