Russia Implements Six Month Tech Ban
New regulations for gas equipment inspections have entered into force in Russia. The restrictions follow decisions made by several sports organizations after the 2010 World Cup. Critics argued that the noise from vuvuzelas interfered with players, coaches, and commentators. Alexander Shprigin, President of the All-Russian Association of Fans, expressed hope that these instruments will not gain popularity in Russian stadiums. Gas services are required to provide advance notice before conducting these checks. The gas service is required to notify residents in advance of upcoming visits, according to Radio Zvezda. New quality and efficiency criteria for biologically active food supplements took effect in Russia on May 1. The regulations, established by the government in April, require manufacturers to hold valid state registration certificates.
