Officials Accused Of Harassment In Colombia
Sergeant First Class Jonathan Adrián Trejos, assigned to the army's eighth brigade, has denounced his dismissal from the military via social media. Trejos claims he was removed from the institution after 22 years of service following his reports of alleged harassment and workplace persecution. The soldier's allegations suggest a retaliatory motive for his whistleblowing. Contractors from the National Unit for Risk Management filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office and the Inspector General against Leonidas Name and Carlos Carrillo. The complaints, filed on April 27, allege a pattern of inappropriate behavior and harassment by Name, the former Secretary General, and Carrillo, the former Director. The investigation follows reports of misconduct during their tenures.
