Rubio States Iran Operation Has Concluded
Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States will use its military power to serve national interests. The warning said the importance of freedom of navigation in critical maritime routes. The US Treasury Department has called on China to stop financing Iranian terrorism through the purchase of approximately 90% of Iran's oil. US officials are urging Beijing to pressure Tehran to ensure the opening of shipping straits. This development precedes a planned visit by Donald Trump to Beijing later this month. The Secretary noted that the military has deployed small, fast vessels equipped with peace launchers to maintain naval presence. These vessels are described as being faster than standard craft but slower than missiles.
