Kaohsiung Mayoral Race Poll Shows Lee Leading

Legislator Xie Yifeng criticized the party center for not respecting public opinion and stated local grassroots sentiment is being ignored. A recent poll commissioned by Shang Bao shows DPP candidate Li Ruei-lung leading with 47% support, ahead of KMT candidate Ko Chih-en's 30%. In the Kaohsiung mayoral election, DPP candidate and legislator Li Rui-lung is considered a weak contender by some. This places him ahead of KMT candidate Ke Zhien, who garnered 30% support. Despite concerns about Li Ruilong being perceived as the weakest candidate, the poll indicates he is currently in the lead. This contradicts concerns that Li Rui-long is the weakest candidate. Local grassroots members are reportedly frustrated with the party central's decisions. This puts him ahead of KMT candidate Chiang Wan-an, who has 30% support.
