Ukraine To Launch Housing Voucher Program
The National Health Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs have launched a new long-term nursing care program. Participants in the program can receive 1,000 hryvnias quarterly for sports activities in gyms, swimming pools, or other sports sections. The program aims to support physical activity for those who served. Ukraine has established a five-year term of validity for veteran vouchers. Ukrainian officials are discussing the criteria for combatant status, which may cover the period of the ATO, OOS, or the full-scale invasion. The program provides compensation to 719 individuals with first or second-group disabilities resulting from combat or defense of the country. To qualify, veterans must be registered on the housing waiting list and demonstrate a need for improved living conditions.
