Pakistan Denies Iran-US Negotiation Reports

State media reported on Sunday that the United States has initiated a response via Pakistan. The report follows an abrupt public announcement that the U.S. would pull 5,000 troops from a base. Pakistan has denied media reports suggesting it conveyed a 14-point proposal from Iran to the United States regarding negotiations. Pakistan has stated that reports concerning Iran and the US holding talks, as well as issues related to mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, are pure media fabrication. Pakistan clarified that Iran's current focus is ending regional conflicts and that no negotiations with the US are currently taking place. The Pakistani statement characterized these claims as media fabrications. Iran's current focus is on ending geopolitical conflict, and decisions on other matters will be made at the appropriate time. Iranian media reported on May 2nd that the new negotiation plan submitted by Iran to the US via Pakistan contained 14 proposals. The report also noted that Iran must consider the impact of rising crude oil and related product prices on global populations and that continued blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran could raise concerns about Iran's future actions. Therefore, Iran needs to fully explain its position to the outside world through political diplomacy and public opinion, stating that Iran does not seek war or to blockade the Strait of Hormuz. Simultaneously, if the US continues its maritime blockade against Iran, it will have a negative impact on Iran's economic development.
