Vietnam-India Relations Strengthened
Vietnam is considered an strategic partner for ASEAN's action policy. The government is providing information and vocational training to farmers to improve transportation and production efficiency. Vietnam and India will celebrate 15 years of comprehensive strategic partnership with a state visit from May 1st to July 5th. This visit is expected to be a milestone, creating new strategic momentum and opening a deeper development phase. Vietnam views India as a key strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific region, while India sees Vietnam as an strategic partner in its Act East policy. Scholars note increasing alignment on free trade, security, multilateral cooperation, and regional connectivity. Vietnamese farmers are adopting drones for rice production, meeting VietGap standards and preparing for carbon market participation by 2028.
