Russia Scales Back Public Military Displays For May 9
Serhiy Danylov stated that schools in occupied territories are implementing increased military training for students. Students are being recruited into Russian youth and military-patriotic organizations to foster loyalty to the aggressor state. The curriculum is being modified to reflect Russian interests, and the Ukrainian language has been effectively removed from the educational process. These changes are being presented as grassroots initiatives, according to Danylov. Hromadske Radio reports that despite constraints on mass events, activities continue actively in various Russian educational institutions. Ukrainian armed forces are continuing to use drones and artillery to attack Russian military positions and civilian facilities in Russia's Belgorod and Kursk border regions.
