Fanling Highway East Section Opens, Traffic Flow Adjusted
Sun Dong, the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 70th anniversary of the Hong Kong Tsinghua Alumni Association. Citizens are advised to choose alternative routes like National Highway 1 or other suitable roads if Highway 6 is blocked. A traffic jam on Highway 6, from Long Dien to An Phuc intersection, has caused congestion up to 20 kilometers. Many vehicles were nearly stationary, significantly slowing travel. Traffic on a section of Highway 6 between Long Dien and An Cuong has been severely congested, with jams reaching up to 20 kilometers. Police have issued recommendations to ensure safety and ease congestion. Road improvement works on the New Clear Water Bay Road are causing traffic congestion.
