Italy Pilot Program Reduces Unemployment Benefits
An Italian pilot program for 15,000 unemployed people has decoupled benefits from the basic minimum wage. Under the new system, monthly allowances have decreased from €1,295 to €565. The program is being implemented ahead of upcoming elections.
