Taiwanese President Arrives In Eswatini After Flight Delays

Taiwanese President William Lai has arrived in Iswatini, the only African nation maintaining diplomatic ties with Taiwan. Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar reportedly approved flight overflights for the President after intense pressure from China. Cheng Li-wen clarified her recent comments regarding relations with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), stating that she did not mean to imply a need for close personal relationships with every DPP member.
