Ukraine Implements Pension Verification For Occupied Territories
Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy announced a new requirement for citizens to declare they do not receive pensions from Russian or Belarusian occupation authorities. Individuals must provide a formal declaration to confirm they are not receiving funds from these entities. This declaration will be sufficient for the appointment of pensions within Ukraine. Interaction with pension authorities in occupied regions has been suspended since the start of the full-scale invasion. The ministry stated that providing official confirming documentation from those regions is currently impossible. Individuals will bear legal responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided in their declarations. This measure aims to manage pension distribution and verification within these areas. The implementation is part of ongoing efforts to administer social services across all Ukrainian territories.
