Dutch Government Proposes Royal Allowances
The Dutch government has submitted a bill to the House of Representatives to regulate allowances for Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard. Following her abdication, Princess Juliana would receive an annual allowance of 1,325,000 guilders starting May 1st.

“De regering heeft vandaag bij de Tweede Kamer een wetsontwerp ingediend dat de uitkeringen aan prinses Juliana en prins Bernhard moet regelen. Volgens dit wetsontwerp krijgt prinses Juliana na haar troonsafstand, dus vanaf 1 mei, jaarlijks een uitkering van 1.325.000 gulden. 500.000 gulden krijgt prinses Juliana ieder jaar als inkomen. Kronprins Willem-Alexander krijgt nog geen uitkering. Hij ontvangt die pas als hij 18 jaar is geworden.”
