NATO Confident In Defense Capabilities Amid US Troop Reduction
A reduction in United States troop presence in Europe is causing anxiety among allied nations. NATO has urged caution following this decision, stating they are collaborating with the United States. The European Parliament reacted strongly, with Bernd Lange, president of the International Trade Commission, accusing Washington of clear unreliability. Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has influence and can exercise veto power. Iran may target US military bases in the Middle East, but the US currently has two carrier strike groups deployed in the region. The US may also strike Iranian infrastructure, including power plants, and facilities for storing, launching, and producing ballistic missiles and drones.
