May Day Rallies Held Across Europe
Thousands of people participated in May Day rallies across Europe and the United States. Different scenes were captured by cameras during the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day. Protests occurred in Taksim Square, Beşiktaş, and Mecidiyeköy. The DGB chairwoman Yasmin Fahimi stated that the federal government's decisions must become more targeted overall than before. She was interviewed for the ARD interview of the week, which will be broadcast at 9:47 AM. The federal government has once again had a difficult week behind it. Protesting groups attempted to march to Taksim Square with slogans, but police did not permit them. Some protests turned violent, and hundreds of arrests were made. Localized severe weather, including hail and strong gusts, occurred in some protest areas. In Rome, protests became violent. Some groups, including the Turkish Workers' Party, participated in celebrations.
