Germany To Increase Deportations From Afghanistan And Syria
According to NDR, dozens of individuals from Afghanistan were presented to Taliban representatives by the Federal Police in coordination with federal states. The purpose was to obtain necessary documents for their deportation. ZDF also reported on this procedure, with reporters filming such a presentation by the Federal Police in Bond. This week, 25 individuals were deported to Afghanistan. German Interior Minister Dobrindt has reportedly intensified cooperation with Afghanistan on deportations. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt announced an agreement with the Taliban to facilitate more frequent deportations to Afghanistan. The minister also indicated plans for increased deportations to Syria. Dobrindt, a CSU politician, is pushing for stricter migration policies including border controls and rejections.
