Man Fires Rifle Near Children In France
More than 200 people gathered in Espalys Saint-Marcel, Occitanie, on Sunday to protest racism. A man is suspected of pursuing children with a rifle while shouting racial slurs. Authorities have opened two investigations into the incident: one for violence with a weapon and another for a hate crime. The suspect has been released and is scheduled to appear in court in July. A 65-year-old man fired a rifle near a group of children playing in a meadow in Espalys Saint-Marcel, Haute-Loire. The event occurred 10 days prior to the report.
