Russian Officials Discuss Merging Medical Institutions

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev visited the Almazov National Medical Research Center in Saint Petersburg. Golikova stated that authorities aim to increase workplace medical examinations from 1.9 million last year to 6 million by 2030. The program for free medical check-ups at workplaces was included in the state medical guarantee program starting in 2025. Golikova stated the government aims to increase certain medical figures to 6 million by 2030. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that merging data from private and state institutions must only occur with patient consent. The discussion said the need to observe medical confidentiality rules.
