Individual Charged After US Secret Service Checkpoint Breach
An individual charged a US Secret Service checkpoint in the lobby of the Washington Hotel at approximately 8:36 PM. The incident occurred during a site detail for the Correspondence Center. Metropolitan Police Department Chief Jeffrey Carroll and DC Mayor Bowser provided updates on the security event. The United States Secret Service and Metropolitan Police Department were both present at the location during the incident.
