Li Qiang Inspects Pinglu Canal Construction

Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited the Qinzhou automated container terminal in Beibu Gulf to observe smart port operations. He said the importance of land-sea linkage and high-standard canal construction to ensure timely passage. Li stated that Beibu Gulf must leverage its geographic advantages to improve port facilities and intelligent operation levels. He also called for the active development of multi-modal transport. Li stated the canal is for achieving connectivity between river and sea systems and linking land and sea transport. The visit focused on advancing water network construction and digital upgrades for hydraulic infrastructure. The project aims to create a secure, efficient, and green water network system.
