London Stabbing Suspect Attempted Murder
Community representatives have requested government funding to sustain long-term protection for Jewish communities in London. The suspect is identified as 45-year-old Suleiman, a man from southeast London who migrated from Somalia. Suleiman was reportedly referred to a counter-terrorism prevention program in 2020. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated the government will strengthen efforts to combat antisemitism. The Iranian Embassy has denied any involvement in the attack, and police investigations are ongoing. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Mayor Sadiq Khan have pledged increased security and anti-antisemitism measures. A student is in custody and was hospitalized with minor injuries. A suspect in a separate antisemitic attack in London has been charged. Two men were attacked by the White Army on Wednesday in a Jewish district in London.
