Italian Defense Minister Responds To Trump
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni criticized the seizure of vessels in Greece, stating she questions the utility of initiatives that do not benefit the population in Gaza. Meloni noted that such actions create additional problems for Italy to resolve. Meanwhile, the European Commission has called on Israel to respect international law. Demonstrations against the ship seizures have occurred in dozens of Italian cities. Italy's Defense Minister has issued a response following threats from Donald Trump to reduce US troop presence in the country.
