Ukraine Rises To 55th In Press Freedom Index
Ukraine has moved up seven positions in the global press freedom index. Ukraine's Defense Minister has decided that IT specialists serving through mobilization can obtain the primary officer rank of junior lieutenant. Candidates for these IT positions will undergo a two-stage selection process. Military commanders will conduct initial selection within units, followed by document and requirement verification by the Ministry of Defense. Ukraine demonstrated improvements in political, social, and cultural indicators according to a recent index. The index evaluates five criteria: political, economic, social, cultural, and security. Project manager Polina Mofry attributed the improvements to a dynamic civil society and independent media challenging authorities. The index noted a total change of 50 positions since the start of the full-scale war.
