Trump Declares Hostilities Terminated
Both parties had previously agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday, April 7, which has since been extended. The former president, Barack Obama, conducted NATO military operations in Libya for over 60 days without explicit authorization. If President Trump decides to initiate attacks against Iran, the decision rests with the White House. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed doubts that the 60-day window was closing this week. Senior Pentagon officials stated the war had cost the U.S. $25 billion, with most of that money allocated for munitions. The Iranians appear willing to discuss a mutual opening of the two blocks. He stated that the US military's withdrawal of 5,000 soldiers from Germany is not a cause for panic. Former President Trump informed lawmakers that hostilities, which commenced in late February, have been terminated.
