Iran's Supreme Leader declared that Washington has suffered a shameful defeat following a war. He noted that supply chains would require months to recover even if current restrictions were lifted immediately. The remarks come amid ongoing maritime blockades and military pressure in the Middle East. The address said the strategic importance of the waterway to Iran's national interests. The remarks follow reported attempts to block Israeli merchant vessels in the region. The Iranian judiciary announced on Thursday that individuals labeled as enemies of the Islamic Republic could face the death penalty. The judiciary claimed these individuals are accused of stealing from the people. The announcement was released via the Mizan news agency.
