Pakistan Mediated US-Iran Talks Yield No Results
Pakistani officials are actively engaging in negotiations between the United States and Iran to bridge gaps regarding the nuclear deal. The involvement of Pakistan aims to facilitate dialogue as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi prepares to lead a delegation. This mediation could establish a new framework for diplomatic progress in the region. A key point of friction remains Iran's refusal to lift sanctions or end its policy of self-isolation. This effort comes as a new round of negotiations with the American government is expected. Negotiation efforts mediated by Pakistan regarding the Iran nuclear program have not reached a result. The current situation follows an incident on February 28 where Israel and the United States reportedly attacked Iran. The United States has unilaterally extended certain measures since April 8.
